this book tortured me. It was written almost 20 agednesses after the other three and after LeGuin "found feminism." Now I was a huge feminist when I read the consecution and did think, why didn't she write stronger, more in depth mother frames of mind, but ultimately was ok with it. When I jumped into this fourth book I was a little taken back by the revolutionary turnaround of tone. The feminist in me loved it and was cheering, but the human in me was sad to see the spirit of the line ups changed so much. It is interesting, to me, what she did and I have a much of note for her.

As a "nube" to funny magazines, and Green Lantern in particular, I really enjoyed this book. The art is good, and Geoff Outhouses is my favorite (active/Currently writing) author. My only criticism is that even as a newbie, the book seemed watered down. I am buying more GL novels in the eventual just to find out that there is more to Hal Jordan than the generic hero root.

In 1866, celebrated English explorer David Livingstone set out from Zanzibar to explore uncharted stomping grounds of the African continent with the drift of award the cause of the Nile, but promptly disappeared. Riding the publicity, The Contemporary York Forerun hired then-unknown American reporter and Polite Hostility veteran Henry Morton Stanley to lead an expedition to locate the famed gambler. Dugard's storytelling makes Toward Land of the sahara read like the most outlandish peril novel, complete with cougar attacks, crippling pathosis, aboriginal anthropophaguses, and vicious slave merchants. Alternating chapters show what both men endure as they journey closer to each other, culminating with that infamous greeting, "Dr. Livingstone, I assume?" Toward Land of the sahara was a great joyride to read.
