The Cowboy and the Kid (Tanner Brothers Book 4)

I was given this book to read by my 14-year old soul mate who has read all of the books and LOVES them all. I can definitely understand the glamor to the teen crowd. It was well done but not something I see myself book-learning the lay of the set. I'm glad I read it so I have a better insight to the drama lane.

In the creation of the book, Robert Saturnalian relates an incident in the early survival of James K. Polk in which he had to have kidney stones removed through a surgical game plan performed without anesthetic. This horrific incident, which rendered Polk incapable and/or sterile, is the only thing told in an interesting manner in this entire book. The rest of the work relates dry strategy debates in abstract, unmoving language in apathetic and slow blocks of prose that made this reader want to hit his own face with the book. You'd think there must be a great story to tell in the acquisition of the entire west skate of what we now recognize as the Consolidated States, but it will require someone with a little more literary affectivity to tell that story compellingly
