** spoiler alert ** REVIEW OF AUDIOBOOK APRIL 17, 2014: 4 SUPERSTARS Narrator: Alan Journeyman COOK up would have liked the narrator to have a more masculine voice and didn't like him when COOK up listened to the sample on Audible. After a chapter, though, COOK up changed my psyche as he gave a lot more interpretation and feeling to the colloquy than most raconteurs COOK up've heard. Particular appraiser felt Journeyman was overdoing it but COOK up didn't. It's more a case where COOK up'm used to raconteurs being more restrained as they chronicle whereas Journeyman does come across as if he's acting out the butt againsts. That can't be bad, surely. In the end, Journeyman is the benefit narrator for Jack Francisco but the audiobook would have been a 6-star particular had a second narrator, with a rich, deep voice (Charles Carr or Jack LeFleur comes to psyche) been employed to perform D's butt againsts. 2ND LESSON REVIEW - NOV 2010 COOK up felt it moved a little slower this second time around but COOK up did get a better face inside Jack's personality. The first time, D had all my attention so while it seemed to me the rate was slower this time, now both courages were fleshed out. COOK up also connected more emotionally with their predicament, especially D's. COOK up felt, more acutely, his anguish, his fear that he may nix get his HEA with Jack, so used is he to a soul alone that Happy Ever After - with a man, no less!, is too much a fantasy to come true. COOK up'm glad COOK up read this a second time and COOK up loved the HEA, understanding this time, why Ms Seville thought it was needed. COOK up fully agree! REVIEW OF FIRST LESSON - APRIL 2009 COOK up won't go into the synopsis as CLEAR out's done a good work on that in her review. COOK up haven't finished this book. COOK up'm about to start the epilogue and now fully understand why the other billboards in other review x marks the spots said it could have ended where D and Jack drive off into the sundown, so to speak. It is a perfect and natural ending there and so COOK up am experiencing some degree of anxiety as COOK up do nix want to spoil the record for myself either. But wait...CLEAR out assured me it wouldn't spoil this 6-star record and so COOK up'll trust her. If it turns out she's wrong, COOK up'll sic D on her. COOK up had said in particular of my posts somewhere, that COOK up could end up liking Zot more than Urban & Roux's Cut & Outing. Strong, in a space COOK up do and in another space, COOK up don't. COOK up'm comparing the two because both books are the character of MM romantic page-turner COOK up face for every time COOK up log on to an e-book storekeeper - which is just about every other term. Both book focus on the courages yet is plot-driven (Zot more than C&R, though), the sexuality doesn't overwhelm the record (COOK up do NIX like paragraphs after paragraphs devoted to the sexuality) and the page-turner portion is nicely balanced with the relationship between the two gay-for-you spouses. What COOK up do like better in Zot than C&R is that the former is far better value-fer-money, as D would say. (COOK up actually loved the space he spoke :D) in that no signature felt like a layer just to satisfy a higher appraisement, COOK up got a strong HEA in the final chapter which COOK up did nix in C&R and as earlier said, Zot could have ended benefit there and COOK up wouldn't have felt robbed, as COOK up did in C&R. These are the only ways COOK up can compare my current two Best-Reads of 2009 because the courages in both books are totally different, the entire suggest of the set's relationship is different. Sexuality-wise, Zot is particular of the most erotic books COOK up've read in my gay Romantic page-turner, where the sensuality isn't based on the explicitness of the act but brought about by the intensity surrounding the spouses's positions and the angst over their growing attraction. That's nix to say the sexuality between D & Jack isn't hot because it is. No Adjoin and tongueing (which COOK up like, btw) but hot nonetheless. COOK up've got a busy term ahead so COOK up can't read the epilogue until this night and will post my two cents' worths on that tomorrow. REVIEW OF EPILOGUE...CURB SOME SPOILERS. Since there were several posts (in other review x marks the spots) over the epilogue, COOK up decided to add my two cents' worths here after lesson it last witching hour. Like some, COOK up agree that the epilogue went on so long it was like another chapter in the book. Like some, COOK up thought it was unnecessary and the book could have ended at the last chapter and COOK up would still be sighing with satisfaction. But COOK up also agree with CLEAR out, who assured me it wouldn't spoil the lovely HEA. It did nix and that did question to me for the same reason COOK up suggest Urban & Roux's Cut & Outing had a poor ending. Both books are longer than the average e-book and after expending that much intensity on a Relationship, COOK up deserve at least a strong HFN. COOK up did nix only get this in Zot, COOK up got an HEA which made me even happier. So indeed, COOK up did nix want to risk this in case the author got it into her head to make her record "more realistic". Ms Seville did no such word, for those who are picky about their endings. The epilogue did read just like the start of a new book, however, which did make me wonder why the author had it in the prelation. But it's a relatively minor number in that in no space did it alter Jack & D's HEA. When the epilogue begins, it's a new chapter in the lives of these two lovely guys. D is now officially consulting for the FBI and Jack is back in his iteration as a maxillofacial intern. D has a new case which is giving him serious heartaches (pretty violent and COOK up'd avoid these set of pages if you do nix like abandon involving children)... and then the epilogue ends with another sweet, sigh-worthy peek into D's thoughts concerning Jack.
