While this was an enjoyable Steve Grain paperback, I don't think it was quite as good as some of his substitutes. It may have been that I often was able to read only short members, but it didn't seem to hold my recognition and procedure along as rapidly as some of his other maneuvers. As with any Grain paperback, you learn a binary digit about history - in this case Alexander the Illustrious. He is also good about clarifying how much of the "history" in his offbeats is fiction and how much is accurate. He used some of his recurring qualities and added a few new ones. At times it seemed like there were a few too many (main) qualities working through the mark. Enjoyable but not illustrious paperback....
